Anna and her mother, Marta Roseman seek their own choices and control of their lives during a time when men made all the decisions. During the late nineteenth century, they struggle through immigration, birth and death to be recognized equal to men. Desire to waltz through life is a winding journey via crisis, death, divorce and adventure. Anna goes full circle to recognize truth as a stepping stone to taking command of her life. Anna marries into a marriage arranged by her Papa only to be free of his control of her life. Fleeing her husband's farm, she realizes she is expecting a baby which complicates her choices. Remarriage is balance and security for her and her unborn child. Society makes her a pariah in public, shunned and talked about behind hands. She meets these challenges head on with wit and humor. Standing by her mother, Marta, during childbirth and early deaths of the newborn, Anna raises the wrath of her father. She has no other choice than to go against his wishes when her mother needs her. Their bond remains strong through Anna's own daughter's birth, as they search for answers to birth control. Joining the Womens Suffrage movement, staying current with world events, Anna experiences new avenues. Tragedy within the Roseman family changes the lives of each member. Her second marriage ends, leaving her without means. Adventure lures her on to find a prodigal sibling. From Prussia, to Minnesota, to Oregon and back to Idaho and Minnisota, Anna continues her journey to freedom. She finds romance and love while caring for her dangerously ill daughter.
