This edition has parts I and II intergrated "seamlessly": "To interrupt the Faust at the conclusion of Part One is an injustice which has far too often been done Goethe. The two parts of Faust stand in a similar relation to each other, as do the Old and the New Testaments" ( from the introduction by Carl F. Schreiber).
