This publication deals with the Canadian bottled water industry, and in particular, if distilled water would be a successful venture in this industry. Distilled water is not a new product, but it has never been introduced into the Canadian mass market.The importance of water for humans has never been questioned, however, the need for bottled water has been scrutinized. Some experts claim that tap water is just as safe to drink as bottled water, and the perceived safety of bottled water is all consumer perception. Unquestionably, consumers have embraced bottled water, and there are no signs that this consumption will decrease any time soon. However, what if there was mass marketed water which was different from the rest. How would consumers react? Through primary and secondary research methods, and extensive research, this publication aims to find this out. This analysis should be useful for anyone interested in learning more about or investing in the bottled water industry.
