It suggests method used to build electrical model and an electrical model for a power connector based on electromagnetic modeling technique. Further the lack of efficient and easy method to evaluate connector shield performance is covered by suggesting a shield effectiveness measurement method for power connectors. Also the experimental results are further compiled into a graphical user interface software tool for assisting cable and connector designers. Finally, suggestion for developing relationship between shielding performance of inline connectors and end line connectors is made in this research.
